Missions

Missions are task-oriented flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator X listed under the "Missions" tab. They create different scenarios for the user to take part in using a variety of aircraft and flight conditions. Missions include unique dialogue and objectives (sometimes decision based) that the user needs to complete in order to achieve success and award them with Rewards for completing these objectives. The Steam Edition of the game includes 88 missions.

Trivia

• There are some inconsistencies between the skill level shown on the Missions tab and the Briefing for a couple of missions.
  • Tutorial 11: Helicopter Maneuvers 1 and Austrian Alpine Soaring Course are shown as Intermediate on the Missions tab but as Beginner on the Briefing.
  • Tutorial 12: Helicopter Maneuvers 2 is shown as Advanced on the Missions tab but as Beginner on the Briefing.
  • Jet Truck Drag Race, Keys Kayakers, Payload Recovery, Whiteout and Slingload Tutorial are shown as Advanced on the Missions tab but as Intermediate on the Briefing.

• Loopy Larry is the only mission that doesn't show a time estimate in its description even though the Briefing shows an estimate of 15 minutes.
• Red Bull Time Trial (without arrows) is named "Red Bull Time Trial 2" on the Briefing
• "2006" is removed from the name of the Red Bull Air Races on the Briefing.
