If you have ever flown an airplane over great distance solely by hand, you will appreciate the value that automation brings to the pilot lifestyle. In this episode, learn how to operate the Gyropilot to control the DC-6 in climbs, descents, turns and holding course and altitude during cruise flight. Flying the DC-6 doesn't have to be hard, and the Gyrolpilot is incredibly capable in spite of it's age.
